Draycote Sailing Club
We completed a new design and build project for this club that can naturally rise up the slipway when the water level rises and is decked in a glass fibre grate system for low maintenance. The club is extremely pleased with the final result and will enjoy many years of stable mooring.
Lilliput Sailing Club
Specially modified pontoon units were manufactured for Lilliput Sailing Club in response to their request for a completely maintenance free system. We decked the pontoons with glass fibre grating straight onto steel supports. There is no timber on the pontoon units so the system will be there for the next 25 years plus.
Rudyard Lake Trust
Ray Perry from Rudyard contacted us as a result of a recommendation. Following the specification we provided the design... at zero cost! The requirement was a U shaped Low Freeboard Dinghy Pontoon. We met the deadline for the installation and Ray was delighted - commenting "We were impressed with the service from start to finish and we would highly recommend SOLENT MARINE"
River Nean Canoe & Rowing Club
The Rowing club needed a low freeboard pontoon. The challenge here was that the design needed to support the weight of the entire crew and their boat on one side as they cross up to four bridges in unison to launch a boat. The Solent Marine team came up with this elegant solution which made the most of the budget available.
Manor Farm (The Hamble Country Park)
This requirement was for a Pontoon system which would incorporate a slipway to enable the launching of dinghies. We developed a practical, yet pleasing solution incorporating the slipway into the "F" section of the pontoon. Throughout the installation the team was aware that the picturesque park was open to the public and did it's best to be seen but not heard!
Royal Southern Yacht Club
The Royal Southern Yacht Club has been a Solent Marine customer for the past 10 years. It has Solent Marine pontoon units, cradles and employs the team periodically for general maintenance works.
Royal Airforce Yacht Club
The R.A.F. Yacht Club is another long-standing customer of over 10 years. Originally the project called for a fixed jetty with pontoon units connected to it, but following advice from our designers, the Club changed the specification to an all-floating system which we designed, manufactured and installed to the total satisfaction of all concerned.
Burnham Sailing Club
This Club contacted us regarding a project which included the supply of 132m of floating walkway and involved 7 piles being driven.
The Sailing Club commented "The supervisor, Mike Simmonds, clearly new what he was about and how to progress the work" on completion of the works.
