We tendered for Scarborough Harbours pontoons back at the end of 2005, since then we have been finalising layouts meeting with the users group and carrying out surveys of the harbour. We were officially awarded the contract in the June and shall be completing the project in August. The harbour secured additional funding to install state of the art service bollard at metering system called MAINSCOM supplied by Rolec. | ||

Morrison Construction have requested Solent Marine pontoons to be installed at Banff Harbour, as the harbour is very historic there is alot that we cannot do to enhance the available basin areas, however we have overcome these issues and will be installing the system be the end of September. | ||

Solent Marine won the contract to design and supply the Fisherman's berthing pontoons. The specification is very high for the pontoons in terms of impact loads, however Solent Marine can and will build anything to meet the criteria. | ||

Solent Marine have won the contract to supply Waterways Ireland with our first Concrete Decked Pontoon, The Innovative concrete decked pontoon system will be situated at four navigational sights along the Shannon at Drumshambo, Ballina and Victoria Lock Upstream and Downstream. Solent Marine had to pull out all the stops to not only be competitive but to design the concrete pontoon system hand in hand with Waterways Ireland not only to meet their specification but to build it as our standard. Solent Marine has to deliver all pontoons and and 4 Access Bridges by the 16th December. The contract was awarded on the 2nd november, so this means we really do have to pull out all the stops! | ||

Solent Marine are underway with the manufacture of the Ferry Landing Pontoon at Tower Wharf for HBG Construction. The access for the pontoon is to meet the requirement for the disabled, rest stops and width. The access bridge spans approx 35m and have rest stops every 10m situated at differing levels on piles. Works are to be completed before Christmas.
