Solent Marine have won the contract to supply Waterways Ireland with our first Concrete Decked Pontoon, The Innovative concrete decked pontoon system will be situated at four navigational sights along the Shannon at Drumshambo, Ballina and Victoria Lock Upstream and Downstream. Solent Marine had to pull out all the stops to not only be competitive but to design the concrete pontoon system hand in hand with Waterways Ireland not only to meet their specification but to build it as our standard. Solent Marine has to deliver all pontoons and and 4 Access Bridges by the 16th December. The contract was awarded on the 2nd november, so this means we really do have to pull out all the stops! |
