Manchester Ship CanalThis comprehensive system was installed at the Manchester Ship Canal July 2007 for the Peel Group. |
Marina Developments Ltd (MDL)Having completed the first stage of Cobbs Quay in Poole to such a high standard, we were asked to return for the completion of the second stage for one of the UK's largest marina operators, MDL.
British Waterways Marina LtdOur unique innovative design for Priory Marina in Bedford won us the contract from British Waterways Marina Ltd. We specifically designed a pontoon system that can take the exceptional loading experienced from 12 metre fingers with 2 x 21 metre narrow boats moored to them. The design was especially attractive being the most cost effective and attracting the most revenue to the marina. The innovative load bearing design meant we did not have to pile the finger ends. This provides Priory Marina with the added flexibility of being able to move the fingers to accommodate wider beams when necessary.
Marina Developments Ltd (MDL)Cobbs Quay is the first major project Solent Marine have completed with them in terms of new build pontoons. It was a complete success from start to finish!
Port Hamble refurbishmentAnother project for MDL and completed well within the specified timescale and budget. In total, almost 120,000 screws were taken up and replaced. This project completely rejuvenated the waterfront at Port Hamble and with the new decking, the pontoons will now provide good service for another 20 years.
Wolverstone Marina extensionSolent Marine were asked to manufacture pontoons to withstand the exposed conditions at Ipswich and had to take into account the connection of the existing units. These existing fingers are well over 13m long and very robust which meant customising our standard Solent Marine units before fitting.
Crest NicholsonPenarth Marina asked us to re-deck and re-configure their existing pontoons and manufacture bridges to access them. This type of work is always one of our fitting teams favourite jobs as they enjoy re-decking old pontoons (from any manufacturer) and derive great satisfaction from returning them to "as new" condition. |
